Major Responsibilities

The successful applicant will:

  • Create art (both 2D and 3D) and animation for games.
  • Work on a variety of games ranging from mobile to 3D casual games.
  • Interact closely with designers, programmers, and other artists to bring the vision of the game to life.
  • Provide a complete and accurate task list and schedule for work under his/her responsibility.
  • Maintain a professional attitude during all stages of development.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with common 2D and 3D tools like Adobe Photoshop, Flash, and After Effects.
  • Experience in pixel art is a plus.
  • Experience with 3D software (preferably Maya).
  • Have experience in games production cycle.
  • Ability to work independently and to be self-directing required.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, principles and solutions.
  • Excellent team and communication skills required.
  • Passion for making and playing innovative games.

Major Responsibilities

The successful applicant will:

  • Develop gameplay-related functionality (controls, camera movement, game rules, etc) in C++ or J2ME or other languages.
  • Interact closely with designers, artists, and animators to bring the vision of the game to life.
  • Work closely with researchers on implementing some of the research ideas as game prototypes.
  • Demonstrate and implement good software engineering practices in the game lab.
  • Use and administrate Software Configuration Management systems (eg. Perforce).
  • Perform testing, debugging and extending of other Software Engineers' code competently.
  • Provide a complete and accurate task list and schedule for all work under his/her responsibility.
  • Maintain a professional attitude during all stages of development.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years Professional C++ experience.
  • Have developed and published 1 game (preferred).
  • Good object-oriented programming and problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Java and scripting languages a plus.
  • Strong background in Math and Graphics.
  • Ability to work independently and to be self-directing required.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, principles and solutions.
  • Excellent team and communication skills required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or Physics, or equivalent game experience.
  • Passion for making and playing innovative games.
